Located in the heart of South Bend, Indiana, Rocco's Restaurant is a cherished institution that has been delighting patrons since 1951. Nestled at 537 N St Louis Blvd, Rocco's is not just a restaurant; it's a beloved gathering place for families, friends, and anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. As I enter this warm and inviting establishment, I'm immediately greeted by the aroma of fresh ingredients and the lively hum of happy diners. It's easy to see why so many, like local enthusiast John O'Neill, have made Rocco's their go-to spot over the years.

The menu features a range of enticing offerings that highlight traditional Italian flavors. Appetizers like the Caprese Salad, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, showcase the simplicity and freshness of Italian cooking. The Garlic Toast served with homemade meat or marinara sauce is a prelude to the deliciousness that is to come.

When it comes to sandwiches, Rocco's is unmatched. The Homemade Sausage Sub uses a recipe crafted by Rocco himself in 1951, with each bite revealing its savory history. Meanwhile, the Prosciutto & Provolone Sub is a delightful blend of flavors, highlighting quality ingredients served with a refreshing twist of lettuce and tomato.

Rocco's Signature Pastas truly steal the show, particularly Linda's Signature Linguini Ala Tonno. This dish features Italian-style tuna tossed with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil, combined with a vibrant lemon wedge that bursts with flavor. Family favorites abound, and diners are invited to finish linguini with a homemade meat sauce, marinara, or butter, all generously topped with grated Parmesan.

The sense of community is palpable at Rocco's, as echoed by loyal patrons like Tom DeHaven, who remarked that it feels just like eating in an Italian mom's kitchen. My love of Rocco's began in 2016 and grows stronger each time I am fortunate enough to frequent the establishment. This was the first place my family grabbed a meal when I was dropped off at Notre Dame as a freshman, and has consistently provided 5-star food, service, and atmosphere at every visit since. Most recently, I misplaced a receipt for reimbursement from dinner at Rocco's from a month prior. After a quick call (outside of business hours even), they ardently searched for a reprint of the receipt and sent a photo of it to me (saving me a trip back in the middle of the work day). Safe to say I will remain a loyal customer of the best pizza place in South Bend, period.

There’s a reason Rocco’s has been in business since 1951.... Quality, value, service! Supreme pizza, Margarita Pizza and lasagna all amazing. Something special about the house Italian dressing on the side salad turns iceberg lettuce into something special. Our server Danielle was the best!

The BEST, MOST FRIENDLY, and lovely place I have been to in South Bend! :) :) I INSTANTLY felt like I had returned home when I stepped in - the owner, Warren, and his lovely family deserve every bit of success they get! There were families laughing, hugging and kissing each other, and having a ball of a time! The food is so nice, amazing portion sizes, and is very rustic and healthy - the pizza tastes just like we are in Italy, and it doesn't make me feel unhealthy like in Dominoes etc

We visit Rocco's once a school year as our daughter goes to Notre Dame. It's always packed because everyone knows Rocco's food is amazing. It's close to campus which is convenient. The restaurant is very nice, I highly recommend it to anyone.

Delicious. I did a google search on best pizza in South Bend. Rocco's was the top result. It did not disappoint. I don't have anything to compare it against but it would certainly be a challenge to top it and probably won't waste time or money looking. Once I find something good, I tend to stick with it.

Great pizza spot in South Bend! Friendly staff and delicious food. I've been here 3 times now and have been happy with each visit. My only complaint is that they aren't open for lunch.
